Raft of Eagles

“In the summer of 1998, Boy Scout Troop 636 participated in the summer camp program at the Blue Ridge Scout Reservation in Virginia. During our week at camp, the boys and adults went on a whitewater rafting trip on the New River in West Virginia. This trip was an unforgettable journey, down the second oldest river in the world.
One raft which I would like to call the ‘Raft of Eagles’ had nine boys and the river guide. Little did we know in 1998, that today, in 2004, every boy on that raft would become an Eagle Scout. I truly believe that is a remarkable accomplishment.”
